Is Cami’s character changing, this could be good.

http://theoriginalsaaf.com/the-originals-…-be-camis-best/ ‎Leah Pipe‘s character Camille O’Donnell took some hard hits this past season on The Originals, but this season that could all change. Leah Pipes and Phoebe Tonkin have hinted to an explosive storyline this between the two actresses. Including some time with another man on the show. This season Cami and new resident Detective Will Kinney played by (Jason Dohring), will spend much time together. I know some only approve of a friendship developing between the two, but this could be a good thing for Cami no matter the relationship.

This would give viewers of a different layer of Cami, spending time in the human world and not so much the supernatural. Season one of The Originals we see that, Cami’s connection with her uncle and the actual reason for being in New Orleans. We also see her and Klaus bond, which alluded fans to thinking she was Caroline’s replacement. True..the looks are very similar but I think the writers did well enough job to distinguish the two.

Sure the story ended but it would be good to give her another reason other than Klaus. Season two we lost that appeal of Cami, she was drowning in Mikealson family drama. This is not the first time fans of both The Originals and The Vampire Diaries has seen this play out. It is good to get the resident human out of that world for a while.

What does this mean for Klaus and Cami this season?

VD_OR420E_0303r.JPGNothing…I do not think this will have any effect on Klaus and Cami’s relationship. Hopefully, the writers will stick to this potential and not make this into a prop or road block for Klaus and Cami “complicated” relationship. Sure her and Klaus have shared some great moments and close calls but Klaus in return always walks away. He did end the season telling Cami that he would find her anywhere, but he does hurt the ones he loves. Cami can see that with the state of The Mikealsons once they return this season. However, for Klaus this is a recurring thing, Cami is smart enough to see past it. As another love of Klaus’ life Caroline. (Sorry people can have more than one, and there is always hope.) So, I understand. You have enemies around every corner and a daughter to look after. So he does have a lot on his plate. I think the writers should stick with that during the first half of the season. It could bring them closer towards the end, but that is okay. A girl has to live a little…right.

Truthfully, most women complain about the girl who gets lost on her man or one she likes.  So I am all for Cami doing things and maybe having a little fun this season. This could be great if the writers’ are planning to go there but like in all TV Drama’s you never know…besides I think Cami and Detective Will Kinney look good together. Can’t wait to see the dynamic on-screen.

Hi…thank you for reading and checking out the site. My fascination with vampires and all things supernatural started at a young age. Reemerging with Anne Rice’s “Interview with a Vampire” book and movie. I love TV maybe a little too much. Adore makeup and accessories. Sci-fi geek to my heart and I will never be ashamed to say I loved Star Wars before it was cool…still do. ~ Arcena P

Cami is the best!! I cant wait to see her more and Klamille <3

I don’t think Cami was the only character to suffer in S2. Most characters did. But i”m hopeful the writers will add more layers to her. I don’t think separating he from Klaus and giving her another love interest is the only way to do that. They did a fine job in S1 with balancing it out. I’m okay with whatever the writers do. As long as we get to see Cami as an individual as well as with Klaus. Just more Cami, basically.

She’s hands down one of the most boring characters. I think she takes up too much screen time and I’m not interested. She offers nothing to the show

Thanks for the article. I hate love triangle but I can see your point that Cami may need some breathing space and hopefully, the writers explore her character a bit more. Her backstory is still a mystery and I am curious about the O’connell’s history. S1 was great in balancing out the story while giving each character a moment to shine. Backstory goes hand in hand with character progression. And it can be done. Look at Orange Is The New Black- fewer episodes, more characters and yet we are given a bit of their history and how their character is in the current predicament. Hoping that we see more of Cami and Klaus and Cami, period.

I love Cami and Klamille but I agree that she needs her own breathing room and character development before Klamille happens and I’m hoping this will be the season we get it!!!

Looking forward to S3 I really have a good feeling that this is the season we will see Cami’s struggles and own developmental story arc and her to be more fleshed out this season. I love Klamille but I want to see more of Cami on her own and being independent before they go there!!
